To users of spm99 for fMRI:
Regarding spatial normalization, is there a new template which is a) robust
for EPI data with the usual susceptibility artifacts? b) in canonical
Talairach space? If we're all going to standardize our coordinate space for
reporting, then we might as well get things in this space rather than
settling for being off by 10% as the MNI template was. The post hoc
correction to the spm95 PET template was better but not great.
Has anyone tried to take the scanned Talairach atlas and transform a real
brain to it thus creating a new template? I realize this would pose some
problems in the details but the gain would be large. I'd certainly be
interested in hearing from anyone with ideas concerning this.
