Are you doing the "adjustment"? This slows things down a lot as it uses a
lot of memory. Beyond a certain point, the system needs to start paging
between RAM and and the swap space on your disk.

| I thank you (especially JA) for very helpful previous answers.
|
| I have a new problem : I tried to realign 5 sessions of 60 volumes with
| SPM99 (with Linux and Matlab 6).
| The size of each of the 300 images was 113 Ko.
| It ran well, but suddenly very slowly, after the reslicing of the 250th
| image (5 min / image after, 5 s / image before)
| Of course, resclicing only the fifth session ran well too, and fast.
|
| Could it be due to a hardware limitation (but RAM ans swap seem to be
| available), or Matlab problem ?
|
| I am surprised because I thought that the Realign function do not use more
| and more memory during reslicing.
|
| Could it cause any other problem like that during model estimation ?
| Do anybody have a suggestion ?
