two questions.
if during realignment of fMRI time series data, you encounter one scan which is very displaced
(ie more than 20mm) on one axis, which might disrupt further stages of
the analysis, is it acceptable to (a) remove this scan from the analysis
and (b) replace it with, for example, the mean image?
secondly, if one of your subjects has a large lesion (ie nearly 50%
cranial volume), is it likely that SPM will be unable to normalize
the brain? Is there a way of creating a template which approximates
to the lesioned brain?
