Dear all,
As I am trying to get to the bottom of the problems I am having
with the 2D correction I am writing to you all again in the hope that I
can fully understand what is going on in my analysis.
My main question is should the smoothness in the z
direction be infinity? I am assuming that it should not be as it is
my understanding that this causes the NaN values I spoke of in my
previous email and the corrected p-values and cluster values to be
incorrectly evaluated (the uncorrected voxel p-values seem fine). If
this infinity value is the cause of the problem how can I correctly
evaluate the results? What might I be doing wrong?
I am also worried that the voxel size will have a large effect on the
number of resels in the calculation. Since my 2D data does not
really have a thickness in the z-direction should the resel calculation
be an area calculation rather than a volume one? If so, how could I
implement this?
I am sorry to keep pestering you all about this, but I am keen to
understand and get to the bottom of the problem.
Thanks in advance,
Tom.
