Hello,
I wonder of somebody could help me with something.
I am a research fellow in functional neuroimaging at St. James's Hospital in
Dublin.
I am hoping to start gathering data for a project I am doing on SPECT and
dementia and I would like to analyse the images using spm. However, I have
been given conflicting advice as to which hardware would be the best. I see
that spm was developed using a SUN Ultra Sparc 2 workstation but that it can
also be run on Windows NT. Most people I have met who have used spm have
recommended SUN, but as you know it is more expensive than other systems. I
am wondering what the best station to use is and if the SUN is, is it worth
the extra cost? I have raised the money for a SUN.
I would appreciate any help and advice on this.
Siobhan Ni Bhriain MRCP, MRCPsych.
