Hi all,
A really easy way to tell whether you've flipped or not is to take a large
vitamin E capsule and tape it to your subject's head on one side. Write down
what side the capsule is on, acquire your data, and check where the capsule ends
up at every step.
It may be hard to see the vitamin E capsule in your EPI scans, but it's obvious
in an anatomical scan. Talk to your MR tech. He/She will probably have done
this before. This trick is used clinically in spine imaging where the anatomy
looks pretty much the same for 40 cm.
Good Luck,
Souheil
