In spm96 and 99 the flipping occurs at the normalization process. In spm95 the
flipping occurred at the results stage.
If you are in doubt about left and right with the way the initial data was
processed, it may be useful to take patient data (assuming there is some), from
a patient with clear lateralized disease and run it through the same spatial
transformation steps.
