| I've used SPM in order to register PET heart images. I have some

| when performing rotations.
| Are there any differences in the coordinate system orientation between
| a General Electric or a Siemens machine?
It's nice to see that some bits of SPM could be useful for non-brain applications.
Sadly, I can't really answer your question, as the orientation depends on a number
of factors. You could check the orientations with whoever wrote your GE-Analyze
and Siemens-Analyze format conversion routines. Also, as the chest is not as
symmetric as the head, you should be able to work out the orientations using
the <Display> button. The <Check Reg> button is also useful to see the relative
positions and orientations of two or more images.
Good luck,
-John
