Dear SPMers,
We've done an analysis that I'm not sure is valid (but it would be nice if
it were!).
We were interested in answering the question, "what areas are active in
condition B which are not active in condition A?". Rather than individual
subjects, we were interested in the general tendency of our group (12
subjects). To this end, we performed the following steps:
1) First-level analysis for each subject, generation of the A-baseline
and B-baseline contrast maps.
2) Exclusive masking, saving the results for each subject by using the
'write filtered' command.
3) Basic models - one-sample t-test on the the group of maps produced by
step 2, as in a random-effects analysis.
Is this analysis appropriate?
Best wishes,
Christy Marshuetz
