The motion occurs at a different time to the hæmodynamic response function,
so motion artifacts in some efMRI experiments can be more independent from
the HRF. TThis can be verified using multivariate statistics to identify
extremely significant relationships between your design matrix and the
estimated motion parameters. Noter however, that if you do this, you will
almost certainly identify significant relationships, because the estimated
motion parameters are slightly influenced by the experimental paradigm.
