POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP: in cortical mapping, Department of
Neurology, Rehabilitation Program of Wake Forest University School of
Medicine, Winston Salem, NC. We are seeking a Ph.D. or M.D. with a
strong background in neuroscience with interest in motor recovery and
cortical brain mapping to participate in our NIH-funded project
investigating motor recovery following stroke. We perform serial
clinical measurements as well as motor mapping with functional magnetic
resonance (fMR) imaging and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in
subjects recovering from stroke. The successful candidate will become
familiar with the acquisition and analysis of fMR and TMS motor maps and
clinical data and their co-registration and correlation. Minimum two
year commitment. Wake Forest offers a core of Neurorehabilitation
faculty dedicated to studying motor recovery as well as close
collaboration with colleagues in radiology and basic neurosciences.
