Dear Robert, Souheil, Alex,
Don't forget about the easy way to check what happens to your data - just
"punch a hole" into your original images on one side, e.g. in Analyze,
before doing your usual spatial manipulations, then have a look at the
resulting images. You just need to know which way they come out of the
machine.
-----------
If you are in doubt about left and right with the way the initial data was
processed, it may be useful to take patient data (assuming there is some), from
a patient with clear lateralized disease and run it through the same spatial
transformation steps.
-----------
>A really easy way to tell whether you've flipped or not is to take a large
>vitamin E capsule and tape it to your subject's head on one side. Write down
>what side the capsule is on, acquire your data, and check where the
>capsule ends
>up at every step.
Good luck, Alexander
