Dear Sheep and Space Syntax mailbox;
Thanks for your quick reply. At last I processed my 21 000 lined axial
map by the help of the programme named Orangebox.
Now I am trying to create a radius-radius map for the city I am
studying. I alraedy processed a radius-radius map according to the
directions of the syntax software manuals.
After selecting the most integrated line from the Table menu, I then
created the depth map and the scattergram of depth to radDn ratio (Depth
/Integration ratio) for the depth map I have created.
The mean depth 19. 7804, integration: 0.4381, and r^2: 0.8469.
I rounded the mean depth to 20.
I set the radius at 20 and reprocessed it and saved under the different
name.
But I found that the Rad 3 and Rad 20 maps are giving the same results.
Even the maps I saved before are all giving Integration 20 but not Int
3. In Prof. Hillier's "Space is the Machine" book, page 214 plate 2, the
two London maps with Rad 3 and Rad 10 (Radius -Radius integration) are
giving different results. Their integration core is different, the
number of most integrated lines are different.
In my study, the two maps Rad 3 and Rad 20 which I created are the same.
I wonder if I made a mistake and where have I been mistaken.
If you can give an urgent reply I will be thankful.
