Hi following my announcement of the fractional analysis and the Meanda
software
I'm please to say I have had a lot of responses, Thanks!
I wanted you to know I have added in more axial maps of cities and
included
an explination of how fractional configurational analysis is computed on
the Architectual Association website. Please check out
http://www.aaschool.ac.uk/sheep/
and follow the link.
The new website has axial maps of London,Leister,New York,York,Amsterdam
and an intreasting fractional analysis of an all line axial map.
The all line axial map was generated using some software I wrote called
'inifinity within' this is a completly automatic generation of
every possible axial line with in a number of geometric bounds. I'm
putting this into the VGA vs Axial line debate which is developeing
on the space syntax mail base.
If you would like a (academic only ) copy of Meanda ( the fractional
anaysis program used to process the images), then please email
me or sign up to the guest book. IF you do want a copy please state
clearly if you want a Mac ( available now) or PC ( available in
demo only mode), version.
I am still quite keen see if the visual improvement in the analysis
is matched by a statistical improvement in the correlation between
movement and fractional intergration. If you have any observational
data with axial maps you could let me have then I would be very greatful.
Look forward to hereing your comments.
