Lectureship in Social Policy (Ref: 00/K128C)

QueenÕs University, Belfast.
Required from 1 August 2000 to teach and research in social policy.
Applicants must have a primary or higher degree in social policy or cognate
discipline and show evidence of an ability to teach in social policy and of an
ability to research and publish in social policy consistent with the SchoolÕs RAE
Grade 4 rating, but commensurate with experience. A PhD in social policy, third
level or equivalent teaching experience and evidence of an ability to attract research
funding are desirable as is an interest in innovative teaching methods. It is preferred
that applicants have an ability to teach in one or more of the following: housing,
comparative social policy, demography and the environment. This post is available
for one year in the first instance, with the possibility that it may be renewed for
at least a further year.
Salary scale: Lecturer Grade A: £17,238 - £22,579 per annum; or Grade B:
£23,521 - £30,065 per annum with eligibility for USS. Assistance with relocation
as appropriate.
