The Civil Engineering Research Foundation (CERF) Innovative
Technology Symposium will be held August 14-16, 2000 at the Marriott Wardman
Park Hotel in Washington, DC.
If you haven't already registered for this meeting, and if your
professional concerns include implementation of innovative technologies,
practices, and programs, please visit the CERF Website at
www.cerf.org/about/2000.htm <http://www.cerf.org/about/2000.htm> to learn
more about it.
The Symposium focuses on three technical "tracks": (1)
buildings/facilities, (2) environment/sustainability, and (3) transportation
infrastructure/public works. The overriding themes are encouraging
innovation, bringing innovation to the marketplace, and applying innovation
in practice. Attendees will share case studies and success stories,
participate in industry benchmarking, and build consensus on the emerging
technologies that will be essential to the economic future of the design and
construction industry.
Additionally, the Innovative Technology Tradeshow has some 90
exhibitors already signed up, and there will be ten tradeshow seminars on
how innovation is being moved into practice in various countries around the
world.
A discounted early registration fee is available through July 19,
2000. Also, to reduce the travel costs and days required in Washington, DC
for participants, the closing plenary session has been moved to Wednesday
afternoon, August 16, 2000 instead of Thursday morning, August 17, 2000.
We look forward to meeting with you at the Symposium. For more
information, visit the Website above or e-mail Peter Kissinger, Conference
Director ([log in to unmask]).
