ANTHROPOLOGY OF HABITAT AND ARCHITECTURE
___________________________________________
Our pluridisciplinary website on Architecture and Habitat Anthropology has
been revised and enlarged.
* Thumbnails now graphically indicate the main topics of the field.
* The file 'Research-Series On-line' contains a list of contents of a
textbook on 'Anthropology of Habitat and Architecture' (which will later be
printed).
* Several new texts, mainly related to Japanology and Indology have been
added. Studies related specifically to [Asian Studies] are marked below.
* Note that all texts are written by the same author. Though the texts
touch various disciplines, they are always related to anthropological
aspects of habitat and architecture!
* This is only a selection, but it should give an approximate idea of a new
way to reconstruct cultural evolution based on constructive behaviour
(Yerkes 1929). The focus is on fibroconstructive objects, semantic and
symbolic processes, as well as on sedentarisation, domestication and
extended territorial control.
