Certainly the theme of Last Supper / Mass is more important. But perhaps
Blake conditioned Muldoon's choice of this particular title (rather than
Last Supper or something) as a reference point for his symbolism.
And can I just add another Hear Hear for Dom? What on earth is so bad about
being clever in public? Presumably anyone who aspires to be a poet must be
qualified by intelligence and verbal skills (among other things), and would
do well to prove it.
