I've tried to keep both Liverpool and Hawthorn support
out of my poetry at large, but my late brother did train
with AFL mighties the Hawkers, so my poem posted
21 May should count as a football poem.
Many Australians, Dutton, Hodgins, et all have written
on Aussie Rules.
Actually our main SBS football (and I mean soccer)
anchorman is called Les Murray.
Les A. Murray has a funny poem about this coincidence
which The Australian published years ago.
