Hi all,
Well, time to come clean -- I had an alterior, academic reason
for signing up to this list (although it's proving so entertaining
I'm finding it difficult to concentrate on work . . . .)
I'm currently working on a postgraduate dissertation focusing on
the Web sites of three poetry publishers: Faber, Bloodaxe and
Carcanet. I'm hoping to gather feedback from both writers and
readers regarding each site, and was wondering whether you'd
have half an hour to spare in which to complete this questionnaire?
It would be a great help -- the more replies I get, the better the
statistics will be.
If you could copy and paste the questionnaire and post it back to
me with your answers added I would be *most* grateful. Ta!

1. Please grade the following aspects of each site from 1 - 5
(1=very poor, 2=poor, 3=average, 4=good, 5=excellent).

site, being able to return to a specific page quickly, having a
clear idea of where you've come from and where you're going,
are the navigational symbols distinct.
Design = how well information is displayed, whether the links
are clearly marked, aesthetic considerations, whether contact
details and online ordering facilities are clearly marked on each
page, whether the site has successfully given the sense of a
'house style', whether information is well-ordered.
Content = the amount of useful information contained on the site,
with regard to each author and each book, and any additional
information which might be useful/ interesting to you.
Functionality = do the Web pages load quickly, do the links
work, is the online ordering facility easy to use (or appear so,
if you haven't used it).
If you have any specific comments to make in addition to the scores
please add them where indicated. These are optional but would
be extremely useful.
