You can find `Hulagu's Ride' in Lynx where it has variable-width
characters. Not the monospace in the online book setup.
(Fred Beake grabbed it for his print magazine). But a lot
of people dont like me inserting the personal stuff and would
have preffered I stuck to a straight narrative like `The Mong'.
But Basil Bunting's advice to me was `Never repeat yourself.
That's what I always followed.
But when I look at the verbal sensitivity of poets like Anthony,
Alison and Roddy I realise why my work has never attracted attention
from the `mainstream' or the `innovative' British poets.
Still I have enjoyed myself over the last thirty years. It would
be lovely to be back in flow again.
And for Australians this weekend is `Aussie Rules' time in LOndon.
There were four novelists talking on the radio last night but no
poets. Perhaps JK can tell us who is reading, (himself shurely!).
