Alison Croggon has published two books of poems, This is the Stone
(1991) and The Blue Gate (1997). She won the Anne Elder and Dame Mary
Gilmore prizes and was shortlisted for the Victorian Premier's Poetry
Prize. Her short novel Navigatio was highly commended in the
Vogel/Australian Literary Award and published in 1996. A collection
Divinations is forthcoming from Arc Books next year. She has also
written for theatre, opera libretti and plays, which have appeared at the
Perth and Melbourne Festivals and in theatres in Canberra, Melbourne,
Adelaide and Hobart, as well as on ABC Radio. She is currently working on
a translation of Rilke's Duino Elegies.
