Hello Everyone:
Recently, George Dickerson (Rattapallax's co-founder
and editor-in-chief) resigned due to health reasons
and I have building a new staff to edit the
publication. Martin Mitchell (who used to edit
"Pivot" in New York City) will be joining the magazine
as editor-in-chief and Judith Werner (the magazine's
senior editor) will continue to edit the fiction with
Martin. Alan Cheuse (bio below) will be editing the
fiction. Joining the staff will be Dana Gioia and
James Ragan as contributing editors and Michael Hulse
as our European contributing editor (bios below). The
new staff will begin with the fall 2001 issue.
Rattapallax is the first literary journal to include a
cd featuring the poets reading their work with every
issue. The press is the first poetry press to include
cds featuring the poets reading their poems with every
book.
Cheers,
Ram Devineni
