Lorca, Rimbaud, Neruda (Tarn's translation of the Heights of Macchu
Piccu) and maybe something like Brecht's Manual of Piety.
I think the very old Albatross anthology is pretty good, I loved it when
I was little. And it's still got a great selection of some very
beautiful poems ancient and (almost) modern. Then maybe if interest is
sparked Joris/Rothenberg's millenial anthology.
