Dear Viv,
I have to confess that I would have preferred to be
other than me, at this very point, concrete and
earthly, therefore approachable and mundane in my
flesh and bones. But Alas, I am pure spirit, a shadow,
as in the portrait I have sent to the list. Almost
transparent.
Though, I am still in touch, not lurking, but alert,
taking notes of everything, of those who are good and
those who are evil, ready to report to the Greatest of
All Mighty Heights (you know who I mean!)who is worth
having here with us, when the time will be mature.
Oh, yes, you do look like Greek. I am not surprised
that in Greece they though you were one of them.
I know all about the Greeks colonizing Southern
Italy.I have lived so long by the ruins of Paestum and
visited them daily, for my archaeological studies.
Once, when I was still a student at the Faculty of
Letters and Philosophy.
I have made known that this list exists to other
Italians and I am sure they will promptly join. You
will have a little bit of movement around, I hope.
