Having said what I sad from a position of privilage (a prof), I have to
agree with both Alison's & Chris's 'buts'...
And the further but that still says let my poems go.
It's such a complicated issue. But Andy's point about one poem leading
people to the book also makes a lot of sense. And I can't get upset about
someone wanting to discuss or present my work to a larger audience (as
opposed to 'publishing' a pirated edition, which is altogether different [I
also serve on the board of a small press, definitely non-profit]).
Still, even if we're repeating arguments run through before, this is useful
talk...
