With the other Doug's revision, & Alison's, this morning, a sense of the
body's presence, as pain-full, as a continuing engagement with the aches &
pains of living in & through the body, comes through. Early in the morning,
when I get on here, I can feel it.
Then again, I was watching some of the gymnasts yesterday, & if those young
women aren't in continual pain (now, let alone some years from now when,
retired at 20 or so, & living on...) I'll be suprised.
Is it worth it...? Do they have any say in the matter...? Yet I watch,
entranced. Talk about a complicity our culture continually invites us to
share.
Anyway, both got to me, for sure...

It's all in books, save the best part; God knows
where that is: I found it once, wasn't looking
