While I was pursuing my web site olypics duties, I was chosen to complete an interactive survey. This took
a minute to load over a dsl line.
We would like to ask you a few questions about the Official Site of the Sydney
2000 Olympic Games, but only after you complete your visit here today.
This meant I had to keep the window up while poking around for this peom start:
Search by Look
Smart. Type a word in the box.
Click the
Search
graphic.
Type a word in the field.
Execute the query.
I did find an athlete named Ben Beer. He is a skipper in sailing from the Virgin Islands competing in
something called Men's Finn next Saturday. Go, Mr. Beer!
The survey asked me how old I was, my gender, country of residence not origin, which sports I play (I
thought about lying and selecting "Table Tennis") THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY RUNNING. "Athletics" was an
option. Question six had a severe verb tense problem.
The site is at olympics.com rather than olympics.org, which I think speaks volumes. The questionairre was
interminable.
Rgds,
Catherine
