Dearest Erminia
My writer brother gave me Une Saison En Enfer
(NDP trans Varese, with "Bateau Ivre" and brief bio)
for my 13th birthday, he was
trying to cheer me up because
our footballer brother had recently passed away
at 18 1/2.
Rimbaud was right, it is 'absolute rubbish'
I've become a musician
because I failed as a poet.
Unfortunately I still have to write lyrics.
Love
Hugh
