Another festival, the one the previous week - the Tasmanian Readers' and Writers' Festival. The highlight for me was poet Merlinda Bobis, but it was good to catch up with Adrian Caesar.
"What are you doing in Hobart," the taxi driver asked Adrian as he drove him from the airport.
"I'm in town to take part in a literary festival. I'm a poet."
"A poet eh. Well nothing wrong with reading poetry, so long as you do it in private and have got clean hands," the taxi driver replied.
