What a wonderfully elegant definition! Poetry: a form of ineffective
propaganda for itself.
Best wishes

I suppose all poetry could be considered propaganda for itself, but if
so, then it's mostly ineffective. I do like the poetry propaganda here
in LA on billboards, buses, t-shirts, etc. A plane just now is writing
"ALOHA" over and over in the sky and it is getting erased almost as soon
as its written.
If the poetry didn't justify or glorify the thugs or their action, then
it wouldn't be propaganda for them or for poetry. It would be a
paradoxical gesture. So they couldn't just distribute OUP books...
