It's, first of all, difficult to do in practice. But also this particular
list has run spectacularly smoothly compared to others I've been on until
very recently--I often disagree with John about other things, and publicly,
but he has been sensitive and fair. The issue at the moment is that one
member has taken center stage and made him/her/it/they virtually the only
topic of discussion. And him/her/it/they replicate like viruses, evading
all attempts at correction or extermination. How would a collective list
ownership deal with this differently?
