I'm trying to remember the rejoinder on:
"He's (or "you're) a penny short and a ___________" or "He's not only a penny
short but a __________."
Meaning you are not only short on the money, but you are also causing (me) a
s___ load of trouble for the time you've cost me.
Actually, the fun might be - given the creative buns and burgers on this list
- would be to convert (transform) the phrases:
"A few French Fries short of a Happy Meal"
or
"Not only a hamburger short, but the plate, too."
"Spring forward, crawl back."
Etc. Etc.
Cheers,
Stephen Vincent
