I'd like to suggest the last line contains a nugget worth gleaning and could
be written: "Poetry can be scraped of its old price" (this a personal point
of view, not a judgment of others.) Not to deny experience, the question for
me in my work is "where do I want to point, how do I handle pain in a manner
that isn't self-indulgent, a way that points beyond itself to an opening of
the field of consciousness, healing".
