Student of mine is planning a critical study of these
three poets - maybe on theme of "voices, the monologue
in contemporary women's poetry" and wants to expand
her bibliography. She's read all the obvious things
like Plath's journals and letters (there's a fun way
to spend an arvo) plus Sweeney, Williams, Gluck,
O'Brien etc on contemporary poetry and poetics but
wants to know if anyone can think of other things,
specially up to the minute other things, she should
read (she has a proper job so doesn't have time to
keep up with that sort of stuff). And I'm hopeless
bcause if I ever do slog through anything theoretical
it goes straight out of my head the moment I put the
book down...All suggestions gratefully received.
