I recently picked up an anthology of writings from Exquisite Corpse,
edited by Andrei Codrescu and Laura Rosenthal, published by Black Sparrow
Press. I was glancing at the contributors to see if I knew any of them
(well, to see if I despised any of them, more likely). I came across my
own bio, which marked my first notice that I had anything in the book.
What's more, the bio says something like, "David Zauhar was one of the
first associate editors when the Exquisite Corpse moved to Baton Rouge. He
is a teacher and a fiction writer living in Chicago."
The facts that I once edited Exquisite Corpse and that I am
currently writing fiction are revelations to me. Though I wonder if I can
now modify my Curriculum Vita accordingly.
David Zauhar (is currently the Editor in Chief of the Pittsburgh
Dictionary of Lexicography and the librettist for the musical "Blame it On
Hegel!")
