Jo,
If you do a search using http://www.google.com/ you should be able to find
info.; I did and found that the Chapman reflex is a chiropractic technique
used primarily to improve lymphatic drainage and to "rebalance" tchi. I have
to say that on the basis of my reading and talking to several
physiotherapists (who use PNF), I think this technique has little, if
anything to do with PNF; that is not to say that Chapman relfex stimulation
techniques are not valid in musculoskeltal rehabilitation. However, I think
you may struggle with the EBM for it!
I would ask Ged Gilchrist about PNF and his views on this. Thanks for the
feedback on my presentations at the training day- looks like I'm getting
involved with Torbay in organising a sports day at Exeter- I'll keep you
informed. Good luck with the MSc.
Best wishes
Simon
