I am sure there was something about instrument design appeared in the
British Journal of Podiatry/Chiropodist a few years ago. There was also a
podiatrist in Tasmania who was researching health and safety at work
practice for her master's.

PS One of our past students Cameron Branchii did an investifgative report
on RSI and I believe an abstract of same is included on the department's
website.

The feminine shoe imposes a new problem of grace and self consciouness on
what would otherwise be a simple act of locomotion. It is this (very)
artful handicap wherein lies its subjugation and supposed charm. Sensible
shoes announce the unfeminine sensibility, a value system, that places
physical comfort above the critical mission of creating a sex difference
where one does not exist in nature.
