Well I cant resist the oportunity to comment.
I read with interest Mr Blunkett's comment in the AfOL news letter. By the
way the picture is really cheezey. and I quote
'This will develop confidence, self assured leadership skills, the team
working of young men and women...'
If one of my students had written this I would say 'says who'. I really
though that we had moved on from a stance where the osmotic properties of
adventurous activities were unchallenged. This is the minister of state for
education - informed leadership at its best!
Sorry to be negative, I do think it is a good move for the profession but,
it does not reflect I hope the current state of facilitation within the
profession or does it?
Please convince me that we have moved to a more informed position.
