FOR PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION TO ALL FOLKS WORKING WITHIN OUR COLLECTIVE PROFESSIONS.
For almost 10 years now, eXperientia has given over US$20,000 back to the
experiential, outdoor, and adventure communities through student
scholarships, practitioner awards, AEE operations, special projects, and
research grants.
Most of this money has come from book royalties, such as ADVENTURE
PROGRAMMING (and some from our personal donations). Rather than keep the
income as editors, or distribute it among the authors, we have believed the
money should be spent to benefit the entire profession (and those students
who buy these books). We consider the money to belong to everyone in the
field. We want to spend it well.
We need your help in deciding how to do this. Please send us your ideas
about how best to spend everyone's money in a way that will benefit the
most practitioners.
This is NOT a request for proposals about initiatives that you might be
seeking funding for (do not send us these). It is a call for something
that will benefit and serve everyone. We look forward to receiving your
creative ideas. Thank you.
