Summary
Research Triangle Institute is an independent research organization based in
Research Triangle Park, North Carolina with an office in the Manchester
Science Park, UK. The UK office is located adjacent to Manchester's
Universities and close to Manchester's International Airport. RTI currently
employs more than 1600 people who undertake research and consulting
assignments for clients working in a range of industries, including the
health care sector.
RTI has a strong reputation for the high scientific standards of its Health
Economics (HE) and related research. Health care sector clients include
government agencies pharmaceutical and medical devices companies, and
various agents involved in the purchasing and provision of health care.
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Operations
Researcher in Health Applications. The principal objectives of a Operations
Researcher: Health Applications are to:
1. Contribute to the design and content of a range of studies which
require OR techniques, e.g. epidemiological studies, health economic
evaluations, resource allocation in health.
2. Proactively contribute to the expansion of the company's commercial
business in Europe
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
1. Postgraduate qualification in Operations Research or related fields
2. Strong interest in the health care industry
3. Strong analytical, quantitative, and computing skills
4. Strong communication (writing and presentation) skills
5. Project management skills
6. Pro-active, self-starter who is able to work both independently and
as part of a team
