If he's up half the night passing urine and drinking to keep ahead I'm not
surprised he feels ropy in the morning. He may of course have an associated
underlying depressive illness. I've picked up a couple of people on
anti-depressants who turned out to be early diabetics.
The more worrying feature is how he got to be sacked for 'lateness' and how it
got to an ET. Was it a Disability Discrimination Act defence?
I suspect the diabetes is a bit of a red herring but quite a smart move on his
part. It speaks volumes about the management but probably does not inform the
endocrinolgy aspects.
