Hi all,
Following previous threads on this list;
NHS Recruitment Campaign in March see:
http://www.mailbase.ac.uk/lists/nurse-uk/2000-03/thread.html
and
Misleading advertisement in May see:
http://www.mailbase.ac.uk/lists/nurse-uk/2000-05/thread.html
You may be interested in a news story on the BCC site today at:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/health/newsid_871000/871654.stm
reporting that the Advertising Standards Authority has also agreed with
the ITC that the £20,000 salary quoted was misleading;
> In its ruling, the ASA said: "Because the figure
> was not the basic wage but was the average
> gross earnings including allowances, the
> Authority concluded that the claim was
> misleading."
The full adjudication is at:

Perhaps this shows that individuals can make a difference to the actions
of the Department of Health etc.?
