Dear Kelly
I think that we would need to check with a 'legal beagle', but I
think that recent changes in the law regarding being able to punish a
person in the UK for an offence that they have commited abroad might
apply here. Also, I imagine that the issue of 'Tort' might apply.
That is, the organiser and the volunteer have entered into a tortious
contract, which in this case, regardless of where the person
operates, would be legally binding in the UK.
Mind you I'm only an interested amateur in this subject - any legal
people out there who might be able to help?
