I'm not sure that you are directing this question to the right audience.
There is only a slender connection to mining. The Pembrey / Burry Port
copper smelter treated imported rather than locally mined ores which puts it
outside the remit of this list.
The Elkingtons who ran the Pembrey Copper Works were from Birmingham and
were pioneers in the electro-plating process, with patents dating back to
1835. That would account for their interest in copper refining using an
electrical process.
There are possibly some local MSS sources which might help you but I cannot
put my hands on them at the moment. The Carmarthenshire Record Office is in
the process of moving to a new location and it may be Easter before all
resources are accessible. Contact me off list, tell me what you have
