The collated mineral statistics so far published by the Exeter group are
confined to metals and associated minerals, including non-stratified iron
ores. Publication has concentrated on those areas producing primarily
non-ferrous minerals. Preparation of the Irish statistics is in hand. As
far as I am aware the base material for the minor areas including
Gloucestershire was collected. Recovery of data has, however, been hampered
by computer hardware and software changes at Exeter but plans are in hand to
make some data available, possibly on the Internet.
