Hind holes appear on the map of Beldi Hill Mines
(above the Swinner gill smelt mill). Also many thanks for pointing me in the
right direction of the Moulds New level or Gooseneck. Sure enough its there
which I visited on the 11th of June. There is a huge amount of water
exiting from the adit entrance (now fenced of by Yorkshire Water) I managed
to take some photos of the site, but couldnot read the date on the keystone
of adit entrance. Its seems to read 1849? Can anyone confirm this to be
correct.
