Returning to the subject of hearthstones, the early Gypsum mining industry in the
Eden valley in Cumbria was partially used for the production of hearthstones for
whitening steps.
A book on the history of Gypsum mining by Ian tyler has recently been published
Gypsum in Cumbria by Blue rock publications price £15.99
Now a query does any person know of any articles on Cabbish Lead/Barytes mine near
