These are some of the things that I miss the most. I like the dirt, perhaps
I never grew up. There are several pictures of me at age 4 rolling a tire
through a mud puddle. I was never afraid of good clean dirt. The dangers I
learned to avoid, neutralize and protect for. The death and maiming is
still a problem but I thank god, government and company for the progress we
have made in this area.
Wednesday of next week I will be going to jail for Muscular Dystrophy and
will try to raise $2,000 in bond for my release. The proceeds of course
will be given to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Arizona. Talk about
maiming and talk about being trapped inside your own body with your intellect
in tact, these neuromuscular disease must be cured. These people did
nothing to contract these disease but live.
If we only matched a small amount of the money that goes into mine safety
(government and company) with research funds for these diseases we could find
a cure and would save more misery than we could by closing mines.
