Last year at the Mining History Association (MHA) I promised to develop a
site on onelist where information concerning mining history meetings, papers,
confrence and other information could be posted.
One list has the distinct advantage of forwarding messages to all subscribers
when they are posted. In that way MHA members can communicate about events,
programs, the organization and share mining history information.
The Mining History Association has an open membership and currently it is
composed of historians, museum staff and members, professors and a group of
mining engineers, metallurgists and geologists who want to preserve the
history of an industry.
The organization is focused around an annual meeting at some mining location,
an annual journal and a quarterly newsletter. This year the annual
confrence will be held in Tonopah, Nevada over the first week end in June.
Here is how you can become a subscriber.
go to http://www.onelist.com
search for MHA and then subscribe to this free service.
and here is the address of their web page.
MHA's webpage is http://www.sni.net/~dookg/mha/
Hope to see you on line.
